Some kidnappers have been arrested by the security operatives in Toto local government area of Nasarawa state. The chairman of Toto area council, Nuhu Dauda, said the kidnappers were arrested alongside their informants in the state.
Dauda while speaking at a security meeting with members of the Armed Forces, Police and other stakeholders in the area on Sunday, August 25, also warned criminals in the area to desist from such activities.
He said: “The collaborative support between security agents, traditional rulers and the people has led to the arrest of suspected kidnappers and their informants.” The council chairman also assured the people of Toto that leadership of the community in collaboration with security operatives will protect the lives and property of the residents.
He also said that the construction of six modern security outposts have began along the major roads that cut across the area. According to the chairman the security outposts will help to reduce hardship faced by operatives on duty along the road.
