ZLP Issues a press release after hoodlums disrupted party meeting in domain.

The leadership of our party, Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Doma North Constituency, wishes to reiterate its determination towards peaceful mobilization of supporters and the promotion of their welfare. We apologies to our teeming supporters over the unfortunate event that occurred during the last congress meeting held on 10/11/2019 in Sarkin Dawaki ward, Doma.

We wish to unreservedly state that the exalted position of the incumbent member deserves to be accorded due respect, as courtesy and civility demands. Sadly, it has come to our notice that the violation of protocol was an attempt by agents of mischief to disrupt the meeting and paint a picture of disunity in our ranks as the most formidable political bloc in Doma North Constituency. This tactics is dead on arrival as we remain unperturbed and will not be intimidated by this shenanigan and political brigandage.

As a peace-loving people, we totally condemn any uncivil act and therefore urge everyone within the ranks of the party to desist from making inflammatory utterances that could incite violence. We will hold everyone responsible for their actions, no matter how highly placed. We are all duty bound to sacrifice our personal interest and allow peace to prevail, in line with the principles and doctrines of our great party. There is no price that is worth paying for peace!

The leadership of our party wants to thank all party faithful for their unwavering support. We also admonish our supporters to remain resolute in their commitment towards the progress and development of the community and be law abiding as anyone who is found wanting in perpetrating any act of violence will face the wrath of the law.

Thank you and God bless.
