Nasarawa APGA Reps Aspirant Decamps To APC.
A house of representatives aspirant on the platform of APGA in Nasarawa State, Makpa Malla, has threw in the towel as he decamped again to the ruling APC in the state. Malla, who is also a current house of assembly member representing Wamba constituency, contested the national assembly on the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) but lost to his kinsman Abdulkarim Ombamas, who won the seat on the platform of PDP.
Makpa has had bitter experiences on two occasions as a member representing his constituency at the state assembly. It would be recalled that he was among the six members of the assembly suspended in 2016 for alleged bridge of the laws of the assembly. Secondly, the assembly in October last year also declared his seat vacant for defecting from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
One week after failing to make it to the national assembly through polls the aspirant decided to return back to APC his former party where he won state assembly seat. According to a statement obtained by NASARAWA FOCUS he said “By this decision, I hereby resign my membership of the APGA forthwith and further declare my unalloyed, unflinching and total loyalty to MTB real party, our great party the APC.
“From today henceforth, I am back to the APC and a full-fledged member thereof. In solidarity with me and to my decision, I also have the consent of all our teaming supporters here present and back home who could not make it down here but who are with us in heart, spirit and certainly in action, to equally tender their resignation of membership of the APGA and to express their decision to join the APC forthwith” he said.
Makpa had on the 28 of August 2018 resigned his membership of the ruling party APC you can find his resignation letter then
