Come back to PDP – David Ombugadu Urges Labaran Maku.
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa state Hon David Emmanuel Umbugadu has taken a swipe at the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)
Labaran Maku, describing him as a self centered politician who is ungrateful to God and the fingers that feed him.
The governorship candidate who is currently a member of the House of
Representatives for Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon, Wamba federal constituency stated this weekend at his Akwnaga residence while speaking to news men on the impossibility of the APGA governorship
candidate to come together with him to be able to combat the candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to him “I have been having opportunities to relate with Maku
and at every stage of the engagement, I see in him a man that does not appreciate the aspirations of his people, I see in him a man that is self centered, I see in him a man that does not understand that he is part of the trouble that has killed hundreds of his tribes men.
“I see in him a man that is not patriotic to his people, I see in him a man that is not grateful to God and to the fingers that feed him. This is a man that rose up under the PDP platform as commissioner, deputy governor and minister. He should be able to know that APGA is not an option and that is why he is working alone on the streets of
“You can’t run a state alone, we are yet to have independent candidature in our constitution, he should be grateful to PDP and all the people that made him who he is today and quietly drop his ambition in APGA and return home to join me in the PDP to win this election against the APC” he said
The PDP governorship candidate said that 2019 is the first time in the history of the eggon ethnic tribe since 1999 for their son to clinch the ticket of a major political party and urged Maku to return back and played a fatherly role like his other kinsmen such as Solomon Ewuga, Prof Onje Gyewado, Damishi Luka and John Mike Abdul and the
eggon people will celebrate him.
“it is an opportunity for Labaran Maku to sacrifice for the disunity that he has cause for his people and Nasarawa state, the state is not a battle ground, you must be a leader that will assure everybody of comfort to stay in your state, you must be sending signals of unity, signals of peace, not ‘enough is enough’
“You must come to the round table to dialogue with different ethnic nationalities, you declare war, when you say ‘enough is enough’ it means you are ready to go to the battle field, governance is not about talking, it is about impact” he said
He said that his eight years in the house of representatives were very fruitful to his people as he was able to provide 230 hand pump boreholes and 18 motorize boreholes, provided the biggest transformers ever in the state, 15MVA, 7.5NVA transformers, build health centers, empower many youths and women and other several interventions.
