Nasarawa Deputy Governor-Elect Tasks Christians On Peaceful Coexistence
The Nasarawa State Deputy Governor-elect, Dr. Emanuel Akabe, has called on Christians in the state to live in harmony with one another irrespective of any sentiments.
The Deputy Governor-elect made the call Thursday, at the Cathedraticum Mass of His Lordship, Most Rev Dr. Mathew Ishaya Audu, the Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese in St Aloysious Catholic Church, Doma.
He said, no meaningful development could be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony, hence he appeals to the Christian brethren to imbibe the excellent virtues of patience, tolerance and togetherness of Jesus Christ while on earth.
Dr. Akabe further applauds the huge contributions of Rev Dr. Mathew Audu in the development of Nasarawa State, and his relentless efforts at the vineyard of God.
The Cathedraticum is an annual religious event by Roman Catholic Parishioners for the support of their Bishop in every Diocese.
This year’s event attracted various Deaneries in the Catholic Diocese of Lafia, the Parish Priests, Very Rev Fr Francis Kusah, the Assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr Uwaike Obinnaya and with over 20 Catholics Priest were also in attendance for the event.
