The Executive Governor of Nasarawa state, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has approved two empowerment projects for unemployed youths across the 13 Local Government Areas and 18 Development Areas of Nasarawa State, to be achieved before his first 100 days in office.
This was unveiled in a briefing chaired by the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor on Youth Affairs and NGOs, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu Boher, which had in attendance the Special Adviser on Finance, Hon. Dominic Bako, SSA Women Affairs, Permanent Secretaries from Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Agriculture alongside their various Directors.
Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, specified that youths across the state will be trained on bricks production and machineries will be distributed to them to carryout their personal practice, while youths who are Agriculturally-inclined will be given micro credits to facilitate their agricultural productivity.
This is in line with His Excellency’s Industrialization and Youth Empowerment Policy as captured in his Inaugural Speech on the 29th, May.
However, the commencement date of the programs is yet unknown.
