The 80th birthday and 58th anniversary on the throne of King WS Joshua Igbugburu the 10th Ibenanaowei of Bomo Kingdom in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, held in Yenagoa, the Capital of Bayelsa State on Wednesday. The Monarch is the Chancellor of Federal university Lafia.
In a goodwill message the Vice Chancellor of Federal university Lafia Prof. Mohammad Sanusi Liman congratulated the monarch wishing him good health and peace in his kingdom, the goodwill letter was delivered to the king by a team led by Prof. Idris Amali the Director of Academic planning Who represented the Vice chancellor. Other members of the high powered delegation from Fulafia includes Surveyor Ifeanyi Osegbo; the Registrar, DR. Abubakar Mamuda, Librarian Dr. Mrs. Rebecca Ape and the University PRO Ibrahim Abubakar.
The colourful ceremony, held at the Dr. Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre, attracted dignitaries from all walks of life. including the Emeritus Professor and erudite scholar Ebiegberi Alagoa- Kalajo delivered the incisive and highly informative lecture on the Role of Traditional Rulers in Ensuring Peace and Development in Africa.
The erudite scholar anchored his presentation on the need to strengthen the traditional Institution to enable it deliver on its core mandate of maintaining peace, economic prosperity and security in their various kingdoms.
