Nasarawa Organises Free JAMB CBT Training For Candidates

Ahead of the 2020 Joint Admissions and  Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination scheduled to hold this month, the Nasarawa State government has organized preparatory Computer Based Test (CBT) training for candidates from the state.

Speaking at the training organised by the office of the personal assistant to the Nasarawa State Governor on Youths and Students Matters at the JAMB CBT Centre, Lafia, the governor’s assistant,  Abubakar Yamani Yammani, said the workshop supported by all the state’s local government chairmen, became necessary following the mass failure during the 2019 UTME, mostly as a result of inability to operate the computer.

Yammani disclosed that the free training exercise would be replicated across all the local government headquarters, under the supervision of the local government chairmen.

While commending Governor Abdullahi Sule for the initiative, Yammani noted the training would add value to the students, as well as build their capacity on CBT.

“It is my topmost priority and prayer that after this laudable program Nasarawa State will become the best performing state in Nigeria,” he added.
